Many local people have reported concerns to me about some property management companies who demand extensive and variable service charge fees without transparency or accountability.
As some of you know, I am aware of some local cases where people are concerned about the quality and/or necessity of works being carried out in new build estates yet they cannot challenge or enforce maintenance works to a satisfactory level.
I have been continuously working on these issues locally and in Parliament and recently signed a letter to Secretary of State, Michael Gove MP, calling on the government to use the Leasehold Bill to end the creation of "Fleecehold" estates.
