As you all know, the steps at the station are a nightmare for many people and the alternative of walking down and around via the main road is no better for people who are disabled, elderly or even those with heavy bags or young children. I have struggled with these steps myself whilst pregnant and out with my toddler in the buggy!
I have spoken to the Secretary of State for Transport and the Minister of State for Rail again recently and chased on an announcement for this.
This campaign has been a joint effort by many local people and I will keep raising it with Ministers. I am hopeful that we will hear more on this soon
