The Berkeley town council team and I have been talking about their plans for regeneration for a long time.
I am very impressed by their recent updates for the town centre plans and their efforts to protect much needed parking in the town centre.
I have previously raised this with the Secretary of State, Michael Gove MP, and took the opportunity yesterday to raise it with the new Minister for Levelling Up, Jacob Young MP, too.
We have many incredible businesses and tourism leading destinations such as Berkeley Castle and Dr Jenner’s House and I think the high street should get some love too. I will keep working to support the town councillors and clerk on this.
