Earlier this week I managed to go for an impromptu walk about inside Tricorn House.
Stroud District Council has been working hard on their ongoing assessment of the development and I spent some time with Cainscross Town Council this week discussing it too.
As with all things Tricorn House - I feel I am holding my breath until I actually see it finished. However, I have to say that whenever I drive past the site now, I am glad I ran with the baton on this one and refused to give up. It’s important to so many people that it is not left derelict for another decade or more.
It is a pleasure to work with the Chief Exec at SDC, Kathy O’Leary and the Clerk at Cainscross Town Council, Jeni Marshall, on this. Approx 4/5 years ago I had separate conversations with both of them about how to get the place developed or demolished and we haven’t stopped since.
As an aside and inspired by arty bus stops in Brimscombe and other areas, I want to improve the bus stops around Tricorn House. If you know of any businesses who may support a bus stop renovation project please get in touch with Clerk Jeni Marshall or with me on my usual email.
