My question to Maria Caulfield MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, about the recruitment of midwives and maternity teams.
This is an area of great interest across Stroud as our local NHS Trust works hard to reopen post-natal beds at Stroud Maternity Unit.
I was pleased to hear the Minister confirm that the Government is seeing an increased number of midwives coming through midwifery training and that retention are positive too.
