Today, the Chancellor delivered the Spring Budget to Parliament which delivers upon the Government’s priorities to halve inflation, reduce debt and grow the economy.
The Chancellor focused on the 4 E’s – Employment, Education, Enterprise and Everywhere.
At a glance, the key takeaways were:
A reduction in taxes for business that invest in the UK
Extending the Energy Price Guarantee, which is set at £2,5000, until July 2023
A new childcare package which includes 30 hours a week of free childcare from 9 months to 4 years old
Smart regulation for digital tech
Tax relief for the UK’s creative sectors
Fuel duty frozen
Reformed pension tax limits enabling high skilled workers to continue working
An additional £8.7 billion for local transport funding in England
A commitment to fix 4 million potholes across the country
