This week, the Prime Minister used his New Year speech to outline how this government will address the issues facing the UK.
In his speech, the Prime Minister set out his plans to stabilise the economy, address the cost of living crisis, increase funding for our schools and the NHS and to tackle illegal migration.
The Prime Minister made the following 5 key promises:
Halve inflation this year, to ease the cost of living and give people financial security
Grow the economy, creating better-paid jobs and opportunity across our country
Reduce national debt, so that we can secure the future of our public services
Cut NHS waiting lists, so people can get the care they need more quickly
Stopping small boats, making sure that if you come to the UK illegally, you will be detained and swiftly removed
