I held another full morning of surgeries on Friday. We have been doing this weekly for some time and I find them a really valuable way of hearing about what is concerning you locally.
We have such a long list of people to see that the meetings are short but they are followed up with actions and ongoing work where necessary.
When my Stroud team are settled into the new office (from next week - very exciting!) - I will arrange for them to hold surgeries in addition to my days so that we can increase the amount of people we are seeing. Until then, I will keep holding the weekly sessions around the other appointments like school and business visits.
I want to thank the Salvation Army on Acre Street for letting me hire their rooms. It is such a lovely venue and has clearly been a lot of work after the fire destroyed the building before.
