Last week I visited Stroud High School where I met with the Sexual Harassment Steering Group to discuss the progress made since our last meeting in May.
The Steering Group members presented the results of another survey they have recently undertaken among 200 pupils.
The survey found that only 18% of pupils would report sexual harassment and
that 89% of pupils believe that public sexual harassment should be included in the school curriculum.
I will continue to work with these pupils to tackle the issues of sexual harassment and feed their findings back to Government.
I would also urge any school pupils who suffer any harassment to go straight to their parents, a teacher or the police and report it.
Thank you to these impressive pupils and Headteacher, Mark McShane for having me visit ๐๐ผ
