The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have set out a new Plan for Water to achieve cleaner, more plentiful water for people and nature.
This new plan commits to:
Increasing investment in infrastructure
Bringing in stronger regulation, including a ban on plastic wet wipes
Enforcing tougher penalties on those who pollute our rivers and coastlines
