Recently I met with Maria Caulfield MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Primary Care and Patient Safety, to discuss the concerns of Stroud constituents relating to NHS dentist appointments.
Having spoken with many constituents and taken this issue on as casework, I know the affect that the restricted number of NHS dentist appointment has had on our local communities.
The £50 million boost announced last month for NHS dental care services, with £4,726,000 being allocated to the South West, is brilliant and demonstrates the Government’s commitment to recovering and reforming NHS Dentistry.
The Minister is working hard to improve dental care services in the NHS and I look forward to seeing the further progress made.
