As you will know, I have long campaigned on this issue. I have championed the view that by working together we can help children already in the court system as well as preventing many families ending up in court, unless necessary. Putting children’s welfare at the heart of the process.
The Ministry of Justice has recently published a consultation on “Supporting earlier resolution of private family law arrangements”.
This consultation is open to all but the Government is particularly interested in hearing from:
Organisations representing separating families
Family justice professionals
Mediation service providers
Other dispute resolution service providers
Individuals who have a personal experience of the family courts or mediation process.
