This week I visited a new eco-business centre, Verdant Business Park, which is being built on a brownfield site, the former Sunnyside Nurseries at Gossington near Cam.
Owner of the development, Martyn Rees said: "Siobhan has supported this development since its conception and without her and her team's involvement this would probably not have gone ahead due to local planning difficulties. Siobhan works tirelessly to get things done that others shy away from. She is a great local MP attracting investment into the Stroud area on projects like this."
This development will bring much needed wealth and employment to a site that has been derelict for many years. Eco friendly company "Domli" will move its operations here later this year.
In addition, the plans include a brand new state of the art 4 studio complex dedicated as a centre of excellence for Dance in the Stroud and surrounding area. The Royal Academy of Dance has already offered support and wish to accredit the studios once complete. A great new facility for the hundreds of local young and older dancers!
Verdant Business Park will be solar powered, use biofuel waste burners for heating and it will use recycled rainwater so that it will be totally self sufficient for energy consumption. It will have both an attenuation pond and a wildlife pond and a special area developed for biodiversity.

I am committed to remaining hard at work in Stroud to help local businesses to invest and grow and if you re-elect me on 4th July, I will continue to do so.
