Yesterday I took part in the sixth annual Independent Parliamentary Trust Poppy Ride in association with the Royal British Legion.
The Poppy Ride raises funds and awareness for the Poppy Appeal with MPs and Peers from all political parties taking part in a 10-hour static bike ride, cycling as far as possible in 5 minutes.
I was chuffed to have ranked as the top female MP with a distance of 3.25km even though I was knackered and my legs felt like jelly after the 5-minute race !
All the money raised goes towards helping the Royal British Legion in their phenomenal work providing lifelong financial, social, and emotional support for the Armed Forces community.
